History

We have redesigned a historical place rediscovering its soul, to trace its future respecting its past.

The origins

The first stones of the palace were laid shortly after 1500 by order of Mercurio Bua, a brave Albanian leader who gained wealth and fame from numerous battles outside and inside the Venetian lands. The building has been residence of Treviso noble families, warehouse, house and artisan workshop until it was destroyed by bombings in 1944. Rebuilt after the war, it was used for decades as a school, then as a health office, and finally, as a patronage.

It now shines in a new light thanks to a new innovative concept.

Restoration

The restoration has been programmed with the Superintendence of Cultural and Archaeological Heritage of Veneto. Traces of the Roman Era were found during the works, underlining the central importance of the building for the city of Treviso.

The cross-shaped roof is a structural element of great importance that represents an unicum in the area for the width and length of the beams. The renovation of the external paintings has been commissioned to a renowned historical and conservative restoration company that has brought them back to their original value.

A careful selection was made among the Made in Italy offer, integrating the most prestigious brands with lesser known but equally sophisticated names, in order to recreate a design environment worthy of the building that hosts it.
